Project Details

21st Century Rail is seeking certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) firms to join our pursuit of the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail (HBLR) Operations & Maintenance Request for Proposal (RFP No. 0000043). We want to connect with DBE firms certified by the New Jersey Department of Transportation, New Jersey Transit Corporation, or the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

Our team is seeking DBE participation for this upcoming RFP including, but not limited to, the below scopes of work: Automotive Paint, Bird Control, Bodywork Repair, Civil Works, Consulting Services, Electrical Contracting, Electrical Supply, Elevator Maintenance, Facility Maintenance, Fencing, Janitorial Services, Landscaping, Maintenance of Non-Revenue Vehicles, Material Procurement, Painting, Pest Control, Power Washing, Printing / Signage, Safety Training, Scheduling, Snow Removal, Staff Augmentation, Station Cleaning, Surveying

21st Century Rail intends to conduct itself in good faith with DBE firms regarding participation on this project. Scopes of work can be broken down into economically feasible packages to facilitate DBE participation. Assistance in obtaining bonding, insurance and lines of credit is available upon request. In addition to request for participation from DBEs, we request non-DBE subcontractors provide lower-tier DBE participation. Quotations must be valid for same duration as specified by Owner for contract award. Subcontractors are required to possess and maintain a current contractor's license and must also be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) as required by Public Contract Code Section 1725.5. Subcontractors will be required to execute Flatiron's Standard Subcontract Terms and Conditions including the insurance requirements.
