Project Description: The project involves the reconstruction and upgrade of approximately 2,400 linear feet of wharf at Berths 55 and 57, with work performed in two sequential phases — Phase 1 completing Berth 55 before Phase 2 work at Berth 57 can begin — while maintaining a minimum of three operational berths at the active container terminal. The primary structural scope involves demolition of the existing timber pile-supported wharf system followed by installation of a new combination wall consisting of 36-inch diameter steel pipe piles and AZ18 intermediate steel sheet piles, new concrete-filled crane rail beam piles, new tie rod systems, and full reconstruction of the reinforced concrete wharf deck, crane beams, fascia beams, and bollard systems. Supporting scopes include new underground electrical ductbanks, crane power vaults, temporary above-ground crane power connections, installation of owner-furnished marine fender systems and 150-tonne bollards, container crane installation, earthworks, and asphalt pavement restoration. The project targets mobilization in July 2026, Berth 55 completion by August 2027, and Berth 57 completion by September 2028, and explicitly excludes all dredging work, which is designated as a separate contract.
