Project Description: Project includes significant upgrades to enhance water quality by installing an advanced ion exchange (IX) system for PFAS removal. The project includes expanding the existing radionuclide treatment building to house the new system, which will work in conjunction with current filtration processes. Key improvements include site work, structural modifications, electrical and plumbing upgrades, and the installation of state-of-the-art treatment vessels, instrumentation, and controls. Once completed, the project will enhance water safety and compliance with environmental standards. Construction will include excavation, piping upgrades, and final site restoration, with testing and commissioning ensuring optimal performance. The existing water treatment equipment must remain in service throughout the entire project since there is no alternative water source. No modification to the chemical feed system is required.
