Project Description: The improvements proposed at the plant include demolition of the existing Comly Avenue WTP building, to be replaced with a new CMU block building; the installation of new high service pumps; the installation of new treatment systems including a new high pressure iron and manganese greens and filtration system, a new Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP) treatment using hydrogen peroxide solution feed and ultraviolet light disinfection for the removal of 1,4 Dioxane, a new Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) adsorption system for the removal of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), and all associated chemical handling and feed systems.
