2020 Technical Training Classroom schedule released by State of Maryland

MD News - Published Jan 07, 2020

The Governor's Office of Small, Minority and Women Business for Affairs for the State of Maryland has recently announced a 2020 schedule for its Technical Training Classroom series. There are set to be 22 sessions in the series, which are free to small, minority, women, and veteran business owners.

The sessions are designed to provide attendees with the knowledge they need to better navigate the state procurement process, with a focus on various aspects of the process, from using online tools, to understanding certifications, to identifying contract opportunities, and more. Subject-matter experts in various fields from various state agencies will be on hand to answer questions and impart knowledge. The sessions, in addition to being informational, provide a valuable opportunity for networking with procurement professionals and other small businesses.

Jimmy Rhee, special secretary of the Governor's Office of Small, Minority & Women Business Affairs, said in a press release that the series would "help Maryland small businesses compete with confidence." All sessions are held on the 4th Tuesday of each month (starting in Jannuary of 2020 and going through November of the same year) at the Governor's Coordinating Offices (100 Community Place, 1st Floor Training Room, Crownsville, MD 21032). Registration and parking are free, although advance registration is required.
