The project consists of design and preconstruction services (Phase 1) and construction services (Phase 2) for rehabilitation and expansion of the USIBWC South Bay International Wastewater Treatment Plant near San Ysidro.
Kiewit is requesting quotes for various scopes including but not limited to: Administrative Staff; Architectural Design; CAD Services; Civil Design; Diverse Business Outreach; Document Control; Geotechnical; Hazardous Materials Assessment; Labor Compliance Services; Odor Control Design; Permitting; Photographic Documentation; Potholing; Printing/Reprographics; Procurement Services; Quality Control; Structural Design; and SWPPP Design.
Firms interested in providing a quote for pre-construction services for Kiewit’s prime contractor proposal must contact Kiewit at SouthBayIntl_Info@kiewit.com. Qualified firms that respond will receive an “Invitation to Bid” (project information, plans, specs and bid instructions) via Kiewit’s electronic use of the BuildingConnected platform. Interested firms may register for a free account at https://app.buildingconnected.com/create-account. Plans and specifications are also available for review at Kiewit’s office by appointment.
This project has a Progressive Design Build delivery model and small business subcontracting goals (Small Business Concerns (SBC), Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDB), Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Women Owned Small Businesses (WOSB), and HUBZone Small Businesses (HUBZone). Federal funding is anticipated in part from the Environmental Protection Agency; the project is therefore subject to Davis Bacon Act, Buy American Act other related Acts.
To facilitate small business participation, Kiewit will divide scopes of work into economically feasible units where possible. We will assist firms with meeting delivery schedules and provide bonding, lines of credit, insurance, equipment, and supplies/materials related information.
