Project Description: The Project includes decommissioning and removal of the old storage tank, construction of a new steel 400,000-gallon storage tank on the existing foundation, pump control upgrades and fire hardening of the roof of the U6 pump station. To meet system demands for the University and protect water supply pumps while the main reservoir is being replaced, a 40,000-gallon maintenance tank will be installed as part of the Project. Two road pullouts will be paved along the narrow quarter mile access road to allow small fire trucks and other vehicles to turn around. Other project work at the site will include replacing fencing and existing drainage infrastructure, installation of a new curb and gutter, and minor resurfacing and repairs to the access road once construction is complete. Anderson Pacific Engineering Construction, Inc. is requesting subcontractor and material supply quotes from qualified and certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise firms (includes MBE, WBE, SBE, SBRA, LSAF, & HUB). The Project may be funded in whole or part by the EPA through the Water Infrastructure Finance Innovation Act (WIFIA), and Community Grants Program, which requires compliance with American Iron and Steel (AIS), Build America, Buy America Act (BABA), Clean Air Act, Federal Water Pollution Control Act, Davis Bacon prevailing wage rates, and USEPA DBE compliance requirements.
