Westcon Construction Corp is seeking subcontractor bids, trucking quotes and material supplier quotes from Certified DBE's for this bicycle/pedestrian bridge replacement project. The project has an engineers estimate of $5,000,000 with a duration of 150 working days. The DBE goal is 21%. Westcon is seeking sub bids for all aspects of work on this project and we are willing to break out portions of the various listed items to ensure DBE participation: Erosion Control, Clearing & Grubbing, SWPPP Plan, Structural Exc/Backfill, Grading/Excavation, Aggregate Base, Hot Mix AC Paving, Structural Concrete, Minor Concrete, Storm Drain, Traffic Control, Precast Girders, Joint Seal, Reinforcing Steel, Striping & Signage, Concrete Barrier, Guardrail, Tubular Handrail, Architectural Treatment, Retaining Wall, Lighting, hydroseed, Anti-Graffiti Coat, Trucking, Aggregates. Westcon will accept Union & Open Shop quotes. Bonding requirements may be waived to encourage DBE participation. We are available to assist DBE contractors in quantity take-off and plan interpretation and will consider bids for economically feasible portions of the various bid items to facilitate DBE Participation. Note This Project is subject to the “Build America, Buy America Act” (“BABAA”) as added by Section 70911 of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (135 Stat. 429, 117 P.L. 58).
