Project Details

Jett Industries, Inc., for the Project: WWTP Diesel Generator Replacement Phase IV with The New York Power Authority and Westchester County extends this Request for Quotes (RFQ) to all firms (Bidder) to provide labor, materials, and/or equipment for the Project as described in these bid packages.

Issuance of Addenda
Jett will upload addenda to Building Connected internet site as received by the owner. A notification through Building Connected will be sent to Bidders. Bidders are required to acknowledge receipt of addenda in writing on Bid Proposal form or their quote.

Requests for Clarification
Any Bidder, no later than the date posted on the Project Information Page, may submit questions for interpretation or clarification of, or addenda to, this Bid. All requests must be submitted in writing and sent by email or as a message through Building Connected

Project Scope:
1. Removal and disposal of the two (2) existing blower driven engines, equipment pads, heat recovery equipment, and piping and pipe support bridge systems as shown for replacement in the Contract Drawings.
2. Modifications to the existing Turbo blower Switchgear, including removal and replacement of three sections, installation and trip sensor setting of circuit breakers, and
the extension of the existing concrete equipment pad, as shown in the Contract Drawings.
3. Modifications to the existing MCC-5 including demolition and replacement of existing circuit breakers as shown in the contract documents.
4. Load testing of Engine Room 25 Ton hoist prior to use.
5. Installation of the two (2) pre-purchased spark-ignition combined heat and power (CHP) systems including new engines, associated heat recovery equipment skids, piping, electrical modifications, controls and other Work as indicated in the Contract Documents.
a. See section 01356 “Special Procedure for Maintenance of Building Operation and Construction Sequence” for maintenance of building operations.
6. Provide and install new the new manual transfer switch and power panel associated with the new CHPs.
7. Provide and install the cable bus between the pre-purchased generator circuit breakers (GCB), the existing turbo blower switchgear, and the pre-purchased load bank. Provide and install the cable bus between the existing Engine 1 circuit breaker and the existing turbo blower switchgear. The two cable buses shall be suspended from the ceiling, which will require placement of the acoustic drop ceiling, potential routing and impacted areas are shown in the Contract Drawings.
8. Provide and install a digester gas safety shutoff valve and integrate with the existing Ventilation Alarm Panel (VAP) as shown in the Contract Drawings.
9. Provide and install a new temperature control valve (TCV-309), new boiler feed water pumps, new condensate return pumps and reservoir, new ball joints on the steam lines as shown in the Contract Drawings.
10. Provide and install the architectural modifications to the existing doors, block window openings, and modify the window wall with acoustic CMU and smaller viewpoints as
shown in the Contract Drawings.
11. Provide and install the kirk key interlock system as shown in the Contract Drawings.
12. Install the pre-purchased load bank as shown in the Contract Drawings.
13. Provide and install the disconnect switch for the pre-purchased load bank as shown in the Contract Drawings.
14. Provide and install the load bank platform, including required reinforcement of the existing structural as shown on the Contract Drawings.
15. Warranties: The Contractor shall provide one single warranty for the entire project, covering labor and materials for a period of 1 year, commencing at Final Acceptance �" documented by NYPA’s signed Final Completion Form, and in line with the standard CDM Constructor’s Subcontract Agreement in section 004900

The Bidder will be required to quote in compliance with all project plans and specifications. Non-Disclosure Agreements are provided when applicable. Addenda is posted and notification is sent to all invited bidders.

Insurance Requirements
Upon award, Subcontractors must provide insurance in accordance with our subcontract agreement. A copy of the subcontractor agreement can be found in Building Connected Project Plan Room.

Bonding Requirements
For subcontracts the Bidder shall furnish Performance and Payment Bonds equal to the full subcontract price. For Material Contracts, the bidder shall furnish Supply Bonds in amount equal to full Material Contract price. Bond premiums are reimbursable by Jett Industries Inc.
Please provide current bond rate with Quote/Proposal or advise if you are unable to bond so that we my address this issue.
