RTA Construction, Inc. is soliciting proposals and quotes from all Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) for the City of Dunsmuir Collection System Improvement Project which will be received by City of Dunsmuir City Hall, 5915 Dunsmuir Avenue, Dunsmuir, California 96025 or PACE Engineering, Inc., 5155 Venture Parkway, Redding, California 96002 until 10:00 a.m. local time on February 23, 2024, at which time the Bids will be publicly opened and read from both locations via Zoom. See City of Dunsmuir’s and PACE Engineering, Inc.’s websites for link to Zoom access. The Project consists of installing approximately 450 LF of 12-inch gravity sewer, 1,950 LF of 10-inch gravity sewer, 5,200 LF of 8-inch gravity sewer, 1,075 LF of 6-inch gravity sewer, and 4,030 LF of 4-inch gravity sewer, CIPP lining approximately 8,300 LF of 8-inch and 6-inch gravity sewer, 31 new manholes, 18 rod holes, 520 SS cleanouts, and 420 backwater check valves, along with SCADA and electrical improvements in three lift stations. Engineer’s Construction Cost Estimate is $6,200,000 to $6,700,0000.

RTA Construction, Inc. is requesting quotes from DBEs for all disciplines of work involved with this project including, but not limited to, the following items: Trenching, Pipe Installation, CIPP lining, Electrical, SCADA, Backfill, Backfill Materials, Surface Restoration, SWPPP, Traffic Control and Hauling. We will work with interested DBEs to create custom scopes of work/supply to meet their particular needs. We will encourage a consortium of DBEs when any particular item(s) of interest are too large for one DBE firm to handle individually. We will work with interested DBEs to divide total requirements into economically feasible, smaller tasks or quantities to permit maximum DBE participation.
