RTA Construction, Inc. is soliciting proposals and quotes from all Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) and Women Business Enterprises (WBE) for the Foothill Water Treatment Plant Generator Project. The project will install a new standby generator with automatic transfer switch at the City's Foothill Water Treatment Plant (FWTP), located at 3105 Foothill Blvd. The project also includes replacement of two existing transformers and switchboards at the FWTP with a single new transformer and main switchboard. Other site improvements in the project will include construction of concrete pads and retaining walls, asphalt concrete pavement around the generator area, and construction of a new shade structure for the new electrical equipment. Sealed bids will be received at the office of the City Clerk, 777 Cypress Avenue, Redding, CA 96001, until 3 p.m., May 18, 2023. The Engineer’s Estimate is $2,480,000. There are 220 working days.

RTA Construction, Inc. is requesting quotes from all MBE/WBEs for all aspects of work involved with this project including, but not limited to, the following items: 1) Water Pollution Control Plan 2) Demolition 3) Excavation (Unclassified) 4) Conduits and Conductors 5) Concrete Pads (Reinforced) 6) Concrete Curb 7) Crushed Gravel 8) Main Switchboard 9) Distribution Panelboard A 10) Distribution Panelboard B 11) Standby Generator 12) Automatic Transfer Switch 13) Lite Pole (20’ and Luminaire) 14) Retaining Wall (Concrete) 15) Handrail 16) Shade Structure 17) Asphalt Concrete Pavement 18) Relocate Fire Hydrant Assembly. We will work with interested DBEs to create custom scopes of work/supply to meet their particular needs. We will encourage a consortium of MBE/WBEs when any particular item(s) of interest are too large for one MBE/WBEs firm to handle individually. We will work with interested MBE/WBEs to divide total requirements into economically feasible, smaller tasks or quantities to permit maximum MBE/WBE participation.
