Project Details

Principal Items of Work:

1. Demolish and replace the Melvin Avenue Pump Station, its force main, the upstream gravity sewer serving an estimated thirteen (13) residences, and portions of the downstream sewer.

2. Permitting, coordination, furnishing, and implementation for vehicular and pedestrian traffic control for the duration of performance of the Contract Work. This shall include but not be limited to furnishing, installation, bagging/unbagging, and removal of temporary traffic control devices such as signs, cones, lights, tape, and barricades.

3. Demolition of existing sanitary sewer infrastructure.

4. Installation of temporary bypass force main with connection to existing force main.

5. Complete construction of new sanitary sewer infrastructure.

6. Permanent relocation of the existing nominal 8-inch diameter lined ductile iron water main.

7. Site improvements including but not limited to: selective demolition, sawcutting, furnishing, installation and replacement of concrete sidewalk and curb, new fire hydrant located in the station bump out, new traffic signage, and thermoplastic pavement markings.

8. Full roadbed reconstruction of the paved right of way along Melvin Avenue and its intersection with Wild Avenue.

9. Protection, removal, and/or replacement in kind of trees.

**DBE firms are encouraged to participate.
NYS prevailing wage requirements are applicable for this Project

The Bidder will be required to quote in compliance with all project plans and specifications. Non-Disclosure Agreements are provided when applicable. Addenda is posted and notification is sent to all invited bidders.

Insurance Requirements
Upon award, Subcontractors must provide insurance in accordance with our subcontract agreement. A copy of the subcontractor agreement can be found in Building Connected Project Plan Room.

Bonding Requirements
For subcontracts the Bidder shall furnish Performance and Payment Bonds equal to the full subcontract price. For Material Contracts, the bidder shall furnish Supply Bonds in amount equal to full Material Contract price. Bond premiums are reimbursable by Kiewit/Mass. Electric Construction Co. /Jett Industries
