Project Details

SCOPE: Demo of 3 (E) 1-story buildings (B, C, & D) and construction of 2 new classroom buildings for Liberty High School (A & B).

New Bldg A is 2-story, steel-framed with 14 general ed classrooms 960sf each; 2 Special Day classrooms 1,045sf each, each with a restroom & sensory room; shared staff prep room & restroom; elevator & machine room; & utility rooms, including fire
riser, electrical, telecom & custodial closets. The 2nd fl of Bldg A will be accessible by elevator & ext stairs & a 2,715sf walkway.

New Bldg B is 1-story, wood-framed with 2 science labs 1,656sf; 2 multi-stall student restrooms; & maint/custodial accessory spaces.

The project site will be accessible by an upgraded, adjacent drop-off lane. The 2 new buildings will form a learning & gathering courtyard & have 2 gated entry points to control access after-hours. No new parking is required.

Both buildings will be E-occupancy, with the pupil per SF load factor for general education rooms being 20 & 50 for science labs. Ext. finishes include cement plaster, fiber cement boards, alum storefront windows, metal sunshade canopies, built-up roof & standing seam metal roof., Interior finishes incl. custom teaching-wall casework, painted gyp bd walls w/ tackable surface at general education classrooms, linoleum & carpeted floors. Ceilings shall be suspended acoustic ceiling tile at classrooms, exposed structure ceilings at labs, and painted gypsum board at restrooms and utility areas.

No PLA / Prevailing Wage Required / 5-10% Retention / See General Conditions Article 11 & OCIP Manual for Insurance Requirements (more info coming in an addendum - Subs must exclude costs for certain specified on-site insurance from their bids / RFI Deadline is 7 Work Days Prior to Bid or Tues 8/16/22 by 2PM / MEP+FS Subs MUST be Prequalified to Bid / 487 CD Duration Est. Start 10/2022 - 2/2024 / $2K per CD per Milestone Liquidated Damages

PREVAILING WAGE RATES, INSURANCE FORM CG2010 11/85 (EQUIVALENT IS CG2010 0704 & CG203 COMBINED) & WEEKLY CERTIFIED PAYROLL REPORTS ARE REQUIRED. 100% PERFORMANCE & PAYMENT BONDS MAY BE REQUIRED.
