Bid Notes:
Proposals are being accepted in all divisions for a Veteran Housing project. The project will include the demolition of (4) existing duplex structures, and a new build of a 3-story, 71-unit affordable housing development for Veterans with special needs, along with 2.4-acre site development. Includes 71 apartment units, Community Area & support services. This project will be subject to Federal Davis-Bacon & State prevailing wages. The project encourages the solcitation of bids to include women & minority-owned as well as small locally owned subcontractors. (MBE, WBE, SLBE). The project also has a hiring goal for Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE). Entities certified by the California Department of General Services as Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBEs) shall receive an amount at least equal to 5 percent of total construction costs for work performed or supplies provided.
The projected start date is November 2022.
