D.A. Collins Construction Co., Inc. welcomes quotes from all qualified subcontractors, services, material suppliers, and trucking firms for complete or portions of the work for all phases.

The Owner is the Ogdensburg Bridge & Port Authority, and the work site is located in the City of Ogdensburg, Saint Lawrence County, New York. The project's limits extend from the backwall of Abutment U1 to 200 feet north of Pier M2.

The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in these specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following: This element specific project addresses the accelerating deterioration of the U.S. Approach Plate Girder Spans 1 to 8 that are subject to tire-carried winter deicing salts that pass through the open grid steel deck onto the floorbeams and plate girders below. This project will rehabilitate the original steel floorbeams where necessary and provide for blast cleaning and painting of all steel within Spans 1 to 8. In addition, additional funding at this time has allowed for the replacement of the U.S. Approach Truss Spans 9-14 deck and floorbeams.

Each bidder shall take note of the following:

-Any subcontracts, agreement for services or purchase orders will be subject to the Owner's mandatory contract flow down requirements.
-Insurance Requirements: Please be sure to review the insurance requirements. Subcontractors will be required to fulfill these requirements.
-Equal Employment Opportunity: The Subcontractor shall undertake or continue existing programs of affirmative action to ensure that minority group members and women are afforded equal employment opportunities. Subcontractors will be required to meet the goals established for this project. Minority 2.50% and Female 6.90%

-In submitting a quote, the vendor assures that there is no conflict of interest or detrimental effect n accordance with Article 6 of the Proposal.
-In order to comply with New York State contracts Article 19, all subcontractors/vendors will be required to provide names of any former New York State employees in their employment.
