Allen Gill Construction Inc. is soliciting proposals and quotes from all Disadvantaged Business Enterprise's (DBE) for the construction of Second Street to Middle Creek Road. Bids will be received by Caltrans until 2:00 p.m. local time on October 13, 2026, via email. The project is located in Shasta County and consists of roadway excavation, hot mix asphalt, and corrugated metal pipe installation. Allen Gill Construction Inc. is requesting quotes from DBE's for all disciplines of work including construction area signs, traffic control, construction area signs, storm water pollution prevention, hydroseeding, trucking and striping.
Prospective bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the issuing office of Caltrans. In addition, bid documents including plans and specifications are available on the Shasta, Valley, and Klamath Builders Exchange, and can be viewed at the office of Allen Gill Construction Inc. Bonds may be required for any subcontract over $ 25,000. Insurance, including worker's compensation will be required with $1,000,000 in coverage limits. All subcontractors must be registered with the DIR ( Department of Industrial Relations ) in order to perform work on this project. Call for more information. (530) 547-1112. We will encourage a consortium of DBEs when any particular item(s) of interest are too large for one DBE firm to handle individually. We will work with interested DBEs to divide total requirements into economically feasible, smaller tasks or quantities to permit maximum DBE participation.
