Stalco is submitting a bid to the Suffolk County Department of Public Works for the Bergen Point Wastewater Treatment Plant Sanitary Laboratory Improvements project and are seeking qualified NYS Certified MBE & WBE subcontractors to provide quotes

This project shall be administered under an Apprenticeship requirement and a minority requirement of 7% MBE & 5% WBE.

The work consists of the following:
Laboratory Improvements including miscellaneous demolition work, new laboratory areas in existing empty offices, window replacement, new ceilings and lighting, new floor and wall finishes, new casework, countertops and fume hoods, new HVAC with dehumidification separated from the locker room facility, new electrical service, new plumbing service, new fire protection sprinkler service, and new fire alarm service. Locker Room Improvements include miscellaneous demolition work, replacement and reconfiguration of the existing locker layout, expansion of the Men's Locker Room into an adjoining space to accommodate 300 lockers, a combined Men's Bathroom layout, an additional Gender-Neutral Bathroom, new reconfigured Women's Locker and Restrooms, new fixtures, finishes and lighting throughout, new HVAC with dehumidification separated from the locker room facility, new electrical service, new plumbing service with branch line replacement, new fire protection sprinkler service, and new fire alarm service. Scope includes temporary facilities and controls; project closeout; cutting and patching. Site Work: Subsurface exploration; dewatering; excavation support and protection; excavation; backfilling; selective demolition. Concrete: Concrete formwork; concrete reinforcement; cast-in-place concrete; grouts. Masonry: Mortar and masonry grout; unit masonry assemblies. Metals: Structural metal framing; metal roof decking; cold formed metal framing; metal fabrications. Wood, Plastics, and Composites: Rough carpentry. Thermal and Moisture Protections: Miscellaneous building insulation; roof board insulation; elastomeric membrane roofing; sheet metal flashing and trim; manufactured roof specialties; rooftop fall protection; fire stopping; joint sealers. Doors and Windows: Steel doors and frames; aluminum windows; hardware; glazing. Finishes: Gypsum board systems; floor mats and frames; acoustic ceiling; resinous flooring; paints and coatings. Specialties: Glass panel partitions; identification devices; mechanically ventilated metal lockers; fire extinguishers and accessories; toilet and bath accessories. Furnishings: Metal laboratory casework; furniture. Special Constructions: Fire detection and alarm systems.
