Shimmick Construction Company, Inc. is a Prime Contractor requesting bids from DBEs, MBEs, WBEs, SBA MBEs certified Subcontractors/Professional Services/Suppliers for the following project:
CANYON LAKE WATER TREATMENT PLANT - WORK ORDER C2001

General Work Description: The District's primary objectives for this Project are as follows, Upgrade/improve the existing CLWTP. Accommodate a treatment capacity range of 1.5 mgd to 7.0 mgd. Harness the benefits of the DB approach to achieve a high-quality, innovative, cost-effective solution based on collaboration with the DB Entity. Comply with all permitting requirements. Validate the findings and recommendations related to the PFAS treatment basis of design specified for GAC and IX vessels as summarized in the PFAS Pilot-Scale Testing Report. Achieve the specified completion dates for design, construction and performance testing of the Project. Optimize operations and maintenance requirements so that the CLWTP is capable of reliably and continuously operating in a cost-effective manner over the long-term. Provide for DB Entity assumption of single point of accountability for performance of all services under the DB Contract. Provide for coordinated design development with District input in a manner that preserves DB Entity's sole responsibility for the achievement of Project performance objectives while meeting District objectives associated with schedule, cost, quality, aesthetics, treatment objectives, and long-term operability.

Precast supply (utilities), minor concrete structures sub, miscellaneous iron and steel furnish, AC paving sub, asphalt cold plane & milling sub, aggregate supply, rip rap supply and sub, demolition sub, demolition core and saw sub, demolition clear and grub/tree services, demolition asbestos and lead abatement, demolition crushing, AC pulverization sub, pavement grinding, fencing sub, flatwork sub, dowel and tie bar supply, excavation and grading sub, shoring, landscape and irrigation sub, hydroseeding, striping sub, traffic control sub, driven pile sub, sheet pile sub, hazardous/contaminated soil haul/disposal and sub, street sweeping, SWPPP/erosion control sub, concrete washouts, miscellaneous metal sub ad supply, FRP/composite supply, joint seal supply, waterproofing sub, roof specialties supply (hatches, rails, etc.), ready mix supply, reinforcing steel sub, form liner supply, formwork supply, lumber supply, joint seal - building/plant, joint seal - concrete pavement, minor structures sub, pump sub, fire systems sub, HVAC sub, plumbing sub, mechanical sub, pump supply, valves - plastic and non-plastic, pipe supports, gate supply, strainers and filters, industrial repair, pipe insulation, ceiling sub, doors sub, doors overhead/rolling sub, specialty doors, drywall and metal stud framing sub, firestopping sub, elevator/escalator/dumbwaiter sub, engineered building sub, prefabricated booth supply, flooring sub, terrazzo sub, window and glazing sub, insulation sub, masonry sub, stucco/plastering sub, paint and coatings sub, anti-graffiti coating sub, roofing sub, sheet metal/metal roof sub, louvers and vents, signs sub, skylight sub, tile sub, paver sub, floor grille supply, structural steel sub and supply, precast supply, steel truss supply (cold formed), welding sub, rental equipment supply, electrical sub, signal and lighting sub, signal and lighting sub, communication and fiber sub, QA/QC Sub, survey sub, office trailer supply, security, cameras, cathodic protection, industrial equipment supply, toilet and bathroom accessories, appliances, cabinetry/casework/countertops.
This project is publicly funded with funds by the State Revolving Fund ("SRF") from the California State Water Resources Control Board therefore, this project is subject to the American Iron and Steel ("AIS") provisions, DBE program requirements and Davis-Bacon related acts.
Shimmick Construction requests that Non-DBE subcontractors provide lower-tier DBE participation. CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS:
Labor Code Section 1771.1 (a) A contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirements of Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, as defined in this chapter, unless currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5. It is not a violation of this section for an unregistered contractor to submit a bid that is authorized by Section 7029.1 of the Business and Professions Code or by Section 10164 or 20103.5 of the Public Contract Code, provided the contractor is registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 at the time the contract is awarded. Bids submitted will confirm the acceptance of the terms and conditions of SCCI's Standard Long Form Subcontract or Purchase Order, available upon request. A Subcontractor/Supplier providing a proposed bid/price will be viewed as accepting SCCI's Standard Long Form Subcontract or Purchase Order-100% Performance and Payment bonds are required for subcontractors; material bonds are required from all suppliers. Shimmick Construction will pay bond premium up to 2%. Subcontractors/Suppliers will be required to abide by terms and conditions of the AGC Master Labor Agreements. All proposers are bound by the prime contract terms and conditions, including payment provisions. Insurance coverage is required as set by the prime contract and/or Shimmick Construction whichever is greatest. Minimum insurance requirements: General Liability $1M-Per Occurrence/$2M-Agg/$2M-Completed Operations; Excess Liability $5M; Auto Liability $1M; Workers Comp & Employer Liability $1M. Project specific insurance requirements are provided in detail the Special Conditions. The listing of a Subcontractor/Supplier is not to be construed as an acceptance of all the conditions or exceptions included with the price quote. Shimmick requires that Subcontractor & Supplier price quotes be provided at a reasonable time prior to the bid deadline to enable a complete evaluation.
