This project has a 7.9% SLBE Goal and a 7.9% ELBE Goal. In addition to request for participation from SLBE/ELBE subcontractors and suppliers, Flatiron Dragados Constructors, Inc. requests non-SLBE/ELBE subcontractors to provide lower-tier SLBE/ELBE participation. Bidders are required to indicate lower-tier SLBE/ELBE participation information to be evaluated as part of their quote.
Quotes must be valid for the same duration as specified by Owner for contract award. SLBE/ELBE quotes will be broken down into comparable packages as reasonably necessary to facilitate participation. Flatiron Dragados Constructors, Inc. intends to work cooperatively with all SLBE/ELBE firms for scopes of work you are licensed and qualified to perform. Assistance in obtaining bonding, lines of credit, insurance, equipment, supplies, and materials is available upon request. Additionally, please contact us if you require technical assistance.
Subcontractors are required to possess and maintain a current contractor's license and must also be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) as required by Public Contract Code Section 1725.5. Subcontractors will be required to execute Flatiron Dragados Constructors, Inc., Standard Subcontract Terms and Conditions and insurance requirements. A copy of the document in electronic format is available upon request.
Bond Requirements: Notwithstanding any contrary language in a bid to Flatiron Dragados Constructors, Inc. or any prior course of dealing between Flatiron Dragados Constructors, Inc. and a bidder, and unless waived in writing by Flatiron Dragados Constructors, Inc., Flatiron Dragados Constructors, Inc. reserves the right to require each bidder to provide payment and performance bonds assuring bidder's obligations to Flatiron Dragados Constructors, Inc. in the amount of 100 percent of the bid to Flatiron Dragados Constructors, Inc. Flatiron Dragados Constructors, Inc. will reimburse the bond premium at actual cost not to exceed 3%. The surety on the bonds must be a California admitted surety.
