The Project includes the following Work:
Construction of New Main Substation No. 1 building single-story concrete and brick type building with temperature control adjacent to existing Substation No. 1 on the main plant entrance road with 27kV to 5kV main transformers (external), switchgear, cabling, and batteries.

1. Installation of four (4) 38 kV metal clad switchgears.
2. Installation of five (5) 5 kV metal clad switchgears.
3. Installation of four (4) 26.4 kV to 4.16 kV Step Down Transformers.
4. Reconnection to the four (4) Con Edison 27 kV service lines.
5. Installation indoor and outdoor including lighting
6. Installation of a fire alarm system, with remote third party monitoring.
7. Installation of substation Monitoring and Control Panels in both Main Substation No. 1 and Pump & Power House (P'PH).
8. Transfer of power from the existing Substation No. 1 to the new Main Substation No. 1 building.
9. Demolition of existing Substation No. 1.
10. Installation of a ductless split system & exhaust fans HVAC system.
11. Installation of landscaping and perimeter decorative fencing.
12. Installation of solar panels on the Main Substation No. 1 building roof for Local Law compliance.
13. Submission to Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI) for Envision certification for Local Law compliance.
14. Preparation and restoration of an area designated to provide temporary grit container storage area during construction.
15. Preparation of a permanent grit container storage area, re-work associated drainage, and pave areas disturbed by project.

The Bidder will be required to quote in compliance with all project plans and specifications. Non-Disclosure Agreements are provided when applicable. Addenda is posted and notification is sent to all invited bidders.

Insurance Requirements
Upon award, Subcontractors must provide insurance in accordance with our subcontract agreement. A copy of the subcontractor agreement can be found in Building Connected Project Plan Room.

Bonding Requirements
For subcontracts the Bidder shall furnish Performance and Payment Bonds equal to the full subcontract price. For Material Contracts, the bidder shall furnish Supply Bonds in amount equal to full Material Contract price. Bond premiums are reimbursable by Kiewit/Mass. Electric Construction Co. Jett Industries Inc.
Please provide current bond rate with Quote/Proposal or advise if you are unable to bond so that we my address this issue.
