Agencies partner to improve M/WBE certification process

The Empire State Development Corporation, New York City Small Business Services and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey have joined up to streamline the minority- and women-business enterprise (M/WBE) certification process.

Instead of applying for certification with each of the M/WBE programs separately, the ESDC has introduced a "One Stop Standard Application," which will allow qualified applicants to have their state-certification application materials forwarded to the other participating agencies for consideration.
