Illinois Department of Transportation proposes 2022-2024 DBE goal

The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) has published its proposed disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) participation goal for federally-assisted projects for fiscal years 2022 through 2024. The goal has been proposed as being 17 percent.

Of this goal, IDOT proposes to meet 1.8 percent through race-neutral means and 15.2 percent through race-conscious means. The goal setting process was informed by a variety of factors including past participation and the availability of DBEs available for heavy highway work.

IDOT is inviting public comment on the DBE goal, which will be received at DOT.DBEPublicComment@illinois.gov through the close of business on September 8th, 2021.
