Los Angeles publishes draft DBE goal for 2022-2024

CA News - Published Aug 11, 2021

The City of Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) has published a draft version of its goal and methodology for disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) participation on federally assisted projects for fiscal years 2022 through 2024.

The goal, as determined by evaluating availability of DBEs and other metrics, is 1 percent for the period. LADOT anticipates meeting this goal by means of both race-conscious and race-neutral methods. The federally-assisted projects anticipated during the period are the Solar Real-Time Bus Arrival Signs and the Maintenance Facility Upgrades, covering a combined anticipated worth of $3.63 million. The proposed participation rate set by LADOT is in part a reflection of low DBE participation in prior years.

LADOT has obtained an extension for submitting the goal to the federal government, making the deadline now September 30th of 2021.
