CA News - Published May 20, 2021

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (or Metro) has published its disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) utilization goal for fiscal years 2022 through 2024 on projects assisted by federal dollars. That goal is 28 percent. It is planned to be achieved through both race- and gender-neutral measures and race- and gender-conscious measures.

The goal and the methodology used to reach the goal have been posted online (at http://media.metro.net/uploads/Metro_Connect/Overall%20DBE%20Goal%20FFY2022-FFY2024.pdf). LA Metro is soliciting public comment on the goal and methodology for a 30-day period, running from May 13, 2021 through June 13, 2021. Public comments are being accepted at LAMetroGandM@bbcresearch.com and at GoalComment@metro.net.

LA Metro is also hosting a series of three online hearings on the goal where members of the public may provide feedback. For information about those hearings and how to join them, see the press release at https://thesource.metro.net/2021/05/18/metro-is-accepting-public-comment-on-disadvantaged-business-enterprise-goal-for-fy22-fy24/.
