Georgia Department of Transportation seeks public comment on DBE goals

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is seeking public comment on its recently-announced triennial disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) participation goals. The goal is for fiscal years 2021 through 2023, and is 16 percent on all projects assisted by Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) funds.

GDOT will be holding weekly virtual DBE Goals Consultation meetings on consecutive Fridays, beginning July 31st, 2020, and ending September 4th, 2020. The full list of meetings and times is as follows:
July 31st at 10 AM
August 7th at 10 AM
August 14th at 10 AM and 4:30 PM
August 21st at 10 AM
August 28th at 10 AM and 4:30 PM
September 4th at 10 AM

GDOT is also accepting public comment in writing for 30 days from the date of the original notification, that date being July 27th, 2020. Comments should be submitted to the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Liaison at DBEGoal@dot.ga.gov.
