UDOT issues proposed three-year DBE goal

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) has released its goal and methodology for its Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation goal for fiscal years 2021 through 2023, in line with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) requirements. UDOT is currently soliciting public comment from DBEs and other interested parties on the goal.

The draft of the goal and methodology may be viewed at https://udot.utah.gov/connect/business/public-entities/rural-public-transit-team/. Users will need to go to the "Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE)" subheading, then click the link for the document entitled "DRAFT UDOT FTA DBE FY2021-2023 Goals and Methodology". The document is hosted on Google Drive.

Comments may be provided to the UDOT via email at publictransit@utah.gov or via mail addressed to UDOT Program Development, Attn: Public Transit Plans and Programs Director, 4501 S 2700 W, P.O. Box 143600, Salt Lake City, UT 84114-3600. It is requested that commenters include the page and section number of the draft document, and a detailed comment with their submission. The document will be available for review and comment from June 8th, 2020 through and including July 10th, 2020.

A public meeting on the DBE goal and its methodology will be conducted via online videoconference means on Google Hangouts due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This meeting will be conducted on Wednesday, July 1st from 2:30-3:30 PM MST. If you wish to be invited to this meeting please email your interest to publictransit@utah.gov.
