Arizona DOT switches to virtual meetings

AZ News - Published Jun 10, 2020

The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) has in the past provided online participation opportunities in its various meetings for the benefit of disadvantaged business enterprises (DBEs) only to those DBEs located outside of Maricopa County. Now, in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, ADOT is replacing all traditional meetings of this type with online meetings.

The switch to online-only presentation includes not only one-off meetings for project opportunity announcements, but ADOT's 21-week Business Development Program, town halls, and ADOT counseling for individual businesses.

Other supportive services from ADOT for DBEs, such as newsletters and informational updates via email, continue to be available as well.

Regarding the change, Kent Lane, small business and workforce development officer with ADOT, said "We continue in creative ways to serve our customers relentlessly."
