NC News - Published May 09, 2019
The Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority is soliciting public feedback on its disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) participation goal for fiscal years 2020 through 2022. The proposed participation goal for the period is 9.7 percent. The Authority expects to let approximately $70 million in federally-funded projects during the three-year period, making 9.7 percent of that figure come to approximately $6.85 million.
The Authority is seeking feedback from interested stakeholders regarding the overall availability of DBEs, the experiences DBEs have had with discrimination, their thoughts on the methodology of setting the DBE particpation goals, and any other relevant experiences in contracting that such stakeholders might wish to share.
To provide feedback, interested parties can submit comments via e-mail to Thiané Carter at firstname.lastname@example.org by June 23, 2019. Business owners may also schedule a meeting to discuss information they may have regarding the Authority’s ACDBE program and goals, or participate in an open meeting regarding the ACDBE goal on May 28th of 2019, at 9 AM, at the Authority Administrative building, located at 1000 Trade Dr, Morrisville, NC 27560. Those wishing to attend the meeting should notify Ms. Carter via email prior to the event.
