City of Austin seeks input for proposed DBE Plan

The City of Austin is seeking public comment for its proposed Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program (DBE) Plan for fiscal years 2014-2016.

As a recipient of federal construction dollars, the city is required to establish a three-year DBE participation goal. For the upcoming term, the city has proposed a goal of 8.35 percent.

The DBE Program plan be reviewed on the City's Small and Minority Business Resources Department (SMBR) here or at the departments offices between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, at 4201 Ed Bluestein Blvd., Austin, TX 78721.

Public comments on the proposed DBE goal can be emailed to DBEPublicComments@austintexas.gov or dropped off or mailed to the SMBR's offices at the address above.
