The City of Austin's Small & Minority Business Resources Department (SMBR) hosts a monthly virtual pre-certification workshop for Minority and Women-Owned Businesses (MWBEs) who are interested in being certified as such by the City. The workshop is geared to complete beginners who are thinking of getting into government contracting but don't know where to start. Topics covered will include the certification process, the ways it can aid your business in competing for City contracts, eligibility requirements, and more.
