Government Contracting Certifications for Small Business

Socal PTAC (Procurement Technical Assistance Center, which serves San Diego, Orange, and Imperial Counties and the vicinity, is hosting a webinar on the topic of understanding business certifications that can be beneficial in seeking government procurement work. The webinar will focus in particular on certifications at the federal level through the SBA and the state level through the State of California. The 8(a) Business Development Program, the Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) program, the HUBZone program, the Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), the Small Business certification, the Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise certification, and the new Small Business (for the purpose of Public Works) certification will all be covered. Attendees will learn more about how to get certified and which certifications are appropriate for them.
