The DuPage County Community Development Commission (CDC) accepts woman and minority business enterprises (WMBE) certifications from other certificating entities in the State of Illinois (as listed in FAQ item below), but if a firm does not possess another recognized certification they can become certified with the county directly.

Once a firm is certified as an MBE/WBE by DuPage County or has their certification recognized by the county, they are include on its Minority and Women Business Enterprise list. The list is used by vendors that as awarded CDC contractors that are in need of MBE/WBE subcontractors on the projects.

Does this local/state program offer reciprocal certifications with other local/state programs? Businesses that have been given the relevant certifications by any of: City of Chicago, Cook County, State of Illinois Commission on Equity & Inclusion BEP and/or VBP Certification, National Minority Supplier Development Council, Woman's Business Enterprise National Council, and Woman-Owned Small Business Certification through sba.gov, may apply through a WMBE Streamlined Application Form
