Through the Illinois Department of Central Management Services (CMS) Veteran Business Program (VBP), veteran businesses can become certified to become eligible to participate in procurement as such. Businesses already certified with County County or the US Department of Veterans' Affairs as a as a Veteran/Service Disable Veteran Business Enterprise (VOSD/SDVOSB) can have their application expedited with the CMS.
Does this local/state program offer reciprocal certifications with other local/state programs? Businesses certified through Cook County (Veteran/Services-Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise), or the United States Department of Veteran Affairs-Center for Verification and Evaluations (CVE) VOSB/SDVOSB, are eligible to receive a Recognition Certification.
Does this certification expire? Certification is valid for five years, with an annual No Change Affadavit required. Recognition made through the Recognition Certification process is valid for one year.
