The Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) Programs can assist veteran-owned businesses in multiple ways. VOSBs and SDVOSBs can compete for set-aside projects from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Additionally, legislation requires that not less than 3 percent of the total value of all government contracting be fulfilled by small businesses owned and controlled by service-disabled veterans, and 7 percent by veteran-owned small businesses. The VOSB program is currently under the administration of the U.S. Small Business Administration (U.S. SBA).
