LOCATION/DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK: The Project is located along West San Bernardino Avenue from North Upper Truckee Road and East San Bernardino Avenue from Tahoe Paradise Park to Apache Avenue, in the community of Meyers, in South Lake Tahoe in the County of El Dorado. The Work to be done is shown on the Plans, and generally consists of, but is not limited to:

This project is to construct a Class 1 shared use trail. The project includes an 8-foot wide paved path with 2-foot aggregate base shoulders, precast concrete boardwalk system with driven pile foundation, tubular steel railing, and a prefabricated bridge (approximately 12 feet wide and 140.25 feet long) over the Upper Truckee River. Construction also includes clearing and grubbing, tree removal, excavation and grading, asphalt concrete paving, drainage improvements, bridge abutments, signing and striping, pavement markings, revegetation, dewatering, traffic control, and temporary erosion control.


MKD Construction is seeking DBE qualified SUBCONTRACTORS AND SUPPLIERS for the following: Erosion Control/Seeding; Trucking; Asphalt Paving; Pile Driving; Welded Hand Railing; Water Pollution Control Plan & SWPPP; Rain Event Action Plan; Timber Felling; CPM Scheduling; Structural Steel Bridge; Crane Services; Rebar Fabrication; and Structural Concrete.

MKD Construction is happy to assist interested DBEs in obtaining bonding, lines of credit or insurance, and any technical assistance of information related to or obtaining plans, specifications and requirements for the work which is provided to DBEs. MKD Construction will also assist interested DBEs in obtaining necessary equipment, supplies, materials or related assistance or services, excluding supplies and equipment the DBE subcontractor purchases or leases from us.
