Ames Construction, Inc. is seeking certified and qualified DBE subcontractors and suppliers to meet the 18% DBE Requirements. DBE Subs & Suppliers required include but are not limited to: SWPPP, lead compliance, develop water supply, construction area and roadside signs, PCMS, traffic control, pavement marking and markers, K-rail, temporary crash cushions, culvert and object markers, erosion control, street sweeping, treated wood waste, Biologist, fence, temp fence, clear & grub, roadway & structural excavation, shoulder backing, rock slope protection, duff, hydroseed, aggregates, HMA, rubberized HMA, asphalt paving tack coat, AC dike, AC cold plane, JPCP, CIDH concrete piling, steel piling, structural concrete, drill & bond dowel, joint seal, rebar, polyester concrete overlay, bridge removal, reinforced concrete pipe, corrugated steel pipe, steel flared end sections, pavement demolition, saw-cutting, geo-synthetics, minor concrete, misc. iron & steel, survey monument, guard railing delineator, Midwest guardrail system, cable railing, transition railing, rail tensioning assembly, concrete barrier, alt in-line terminal system, electrical, concrete supply, concrete pumping, trucking and construction supply. Ames Construction, Inc. will work with subcontractors and suppliers to breakdown items into economical feasible packages and to establish delivery/construction schedules to allow for maximum DBE participation.

Please note: Additional paperwork will be required of all selected DBE firms. Ames will need this paperwork returned to our office with wet signatures (not printed or electronic). With the holidays quickly approaching please plan to be available to assist Ames with completion of this paperwork for submission to Caltrans. DBE and Non-DBE firms will be required to solicit all possible second and third tier DBE suppliers, subcontractors, truckers etc.. to gain maximum DBE participation for this contract. Please keep documentation of your outreach efforts and list all lower tier DBE participation on your proposal. Additional paperwork will also be required from lower tiers.

Ames will require bidder to provide performance and payment bonds for the full amount of the Subcontract values. Costs of the bonds are to be provided as a separate line item. Please call to discuss how Ames Construction can assist you in your bonding, credit and/or insurance needs. Also, let us know if you need assistance in obtaining necessary equipment, supplies, materials or related assistance or services for this project. Please contact us for more information. The Subcontractor, by submission of its bid, agrees to the "Terms and Conditions" including all Exhibits and Attachments of Ames Subcontract Agreement.
