In accordance with Section 103 of Article 5-A of the General Municipal Law, sealed Bids for the construction of the Bear Creek Boat Launch Improvements will be received by Town of Ontario, at the office of the Town of Ontario, 1850 Ridge Road, Ontario, New York 14519, until 10:00 AM local time on September 15, 2021, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.

The project consists of reconstruction of an existing boat launch facility at the Bear Creek Harbor Boat Launch in the Town of Ontario. Project scope includes the installation of approximately 300 linear feet of cofferdam around an existing boat launch and retaining wall. Dewatering and demolition of the existing 45 ft by 62 ft boat launch and a 165 linear foot +/- concrete retaining wall. Excavation, grading, and installation of subbase materials, and the construction of a new 170 linear foot +/- cast-in-place concrete retaining wall and a new 62 ft by 62 ft cast-in-place concrete boat launch. The project includes all necessary temporary erosion control measures, all necessary dewatering, and placement of heavy and medium stone rip rap. The project also includes miscellaneous site improvements including a gabion and segmental block retaining walls, stone dust sidewalk, turf restoration, asphalt paving, and the replacement of three light pole fixtures with three new light pole fixtures, including the associated underground wiring.


Sealed Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis, as indicated in the Bid Form.
In accordance with Section 101.5. of Article 5-A of the General Municipal Law, Bidders shall submit with its bid a separate sealed list that names each subcontractor that the bidder will use to perform work on the contract, and the agreed-upon amount to be paid to each, for: (a) plumbing and gas fitting, (b) steam heating, hot water heating, ventilating and air conditioning apparatus and (c) electric wiring and standard illuminating fixtures.

3. For a non-refundable fee, printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Avalon Planroom. If the documents are to be shipped, the Bidder must furnish Avalon with the Bidder's active UPS or Federal Express account number or pay Avalon for all shipping and handling costs.

The Bidding Documents must be obtained through the Avalon Planroom in order to be considered a Plan Holder of record. Bidding Documents obtained from any other source are for examination only, are not considered complete and are not valid for bidding purposes.
Bidding Documents also may be examined at the offices of MRB Group, and the Town of Ontario, 1850 Ridge Road, Ontario, New York 14519, on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM; or online through internet based construction information subscription services.
The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Town of Ontario, nor Engineer, nor Avalon will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

The Town of Ontario, Wayne County, New York, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities, or to make an award to other than the low bidder. It further reserves the right to limit the amount of the award.

Attention of the bidders is particularly directed to the requirements of the conditions of employment to be observed and minimum Wage Rates to be paid under the Contract.
