Specific items of work for this Project includes but is not limited to the following: Steel Bridge Railing, Guard Rail, Stairways, Caisson, Concrete, Rebar, Maintenance and Protection of Traffic, Utility Relocation, Excavation & Site Clearing, Soil Erosion Control, Asphalt Milling Paving & Striping, Signal Work, Site Security & Fencing, Retaining Walls, Boring/Blasting, Rail Systems r, Demolition r, Hazardous Material Removal, Asbestos Removal, Trucking/Hauling, Material Testing & Inspection, Pre-Post Survey, Lighting/Electrical, Masonry, Trackwork, Boring/Blasting, Pile Driving, Construction Trailers, Janitorial/Cleaning Services, Office Supplies, Site Photos/Video and other trades typically associated with this type of work.

The Project work scope includes the demolition of the existing Portal North Bridge and the construction of a new bridge to enhance the capacity and improve the operation of the Portal Bridge, an important rail crossing over the Hackensack River in Hudson County, New Jersey.

This project has a 5% DBE goals assigned to it and the certification must be obtained under the New Jersey Unified Certification Program.
