This project is a public project with prevailing wages and ALL contractors are required to comply with Labor Code 1777.5 and 1777.6. These labor codes also involve possible donations to an apprenticeship program. You may not be required to donate if your company is union. PLEASE BE SURE TO INCLUDE THESE IN YOUR BID!!! There is a per day penalty for underpayment of prevailing wages and/or overtime payments. Funding for this project is expected to be provided in whole or in part with federal housing and community development block funds.The Federal Labor Standards Provisions, including prevailing wage requirements of the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts will be enforced. A copy of the Federal Wage Decision applicable to the Project is included in the Contract Documents. This project is a public work in the State of California, funded in whole or in part with public funds. Therefore, the higher of the two applicable prevailing wage rates, federal or state, will be enforced. The Contractor's duty to pay State prevailing wages can be found under Labor Code Section 1770 et seq, Labor Code sections 1775 and 1777.7 outline the penalties for failure to pay prevailing wages and to employ apprentices, including the forfeitures and debarment. The State Wage Decision is available online at http://www.dir.ca.gov/dlsr/.
