Is seeking qualified DBEs

Kerex Engineering, Inc. is requesting quotes from all qualified DBE & Non-DBE subcontractors and suppliers for the following items of work including but not limited to; SWPPP, Traffic Control, Trucking, Demolition, Concrete, Traffic Markings, Landscape, and HMA. The Project work generally consists of , but is not limited to, the following: 1) Construction of a dedicated bus off-ramp leading directly into the Fairfield Transportation Center, 2) Modifying traffic signals at West Texas Street for the Eastbound I-80 off-ramp, 3) Construction of sidewalk on the south side of West Texas Street between the Eastbound I-80 off-ramp and immediately west of Beck Avenue, 4) Rehabilitation of the existing pavement and enhanced pedestrian crosswalks, 5) Construction of a raised median with planter area and installation of landscaping and
irrigation, 6) street trees, groundcover landscaping, ornamental fence, and decorative
street lighting on both sides of West Texas Street between the Eastbound I-80 off-ramp
and immediately west of Beck Avenue, and all other work as shown on the Project
Plans, as specified in the Contract Documents and as directed by the City Engineer. and such miscellaneous work, including removal of concrete forms, disposal off-site of all unsuitable materials, and cleanup of the site.

Kerex Engineering, Inc. can assist in payment of a reasonable bond premium. A 100% payment bond and performance bond may be required for the full amount of the subcontract price. Please provide a bond premium rate with your quote. If you have any questions, need assistance in obtaining bonding, lines of credit, insurance, equipment, supplies, materials or related assistance in services, please contact Patrick Madden at our office. Please note that no contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project (submitted on or after March 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)]. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor's license, insurance and workers compensation coverage meeting the owner's requirements and will be required to sign the standard Kerex Engineering, Inc. subcontract agreement. Plans and Specifications are available to be viewed in our office located at 4941 Pacheco Blvd. Martinez, CA. 94553 between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM Monday through Friday by appointment or you can send a request for this project and we will send you the specs/plans.
