Is seeking qualified DBEs

A. The Work of this Contract includes the work necessary to bring accessibility to 8 MTA stations.
B. The Work is more fully described in the Contract Documents.
C. The scope of the Contract Work is summarized as follows:
1. Work at each station will generally include the design and construction of the following:
a. New elevators at each station
b. Structural and excavation work to accommodate new elevator installations
c. Electrical power upgrades, when necessary
d. Station communications systems upgrades, when necessary
e. Relocation of existing public and transit utilities
f. Replacement, relocation and/or addition of staircases from street to mezzanines and mezzanines to platforms
g. Reconstruction of entire platform edges and/or reconstruction of ADA boarding areas
2. Additional work may be necessary based on existing conditions at the stations, including:
a. Platform reconstruction
b. Windscreen and canopy replacement
c. Architectural finishes replacement
d. Structural steel & concrete repairs
e. Waterproofing
f. Lighting and communication systems replacement/upgrade
