Union Project
Uplands Work: consisting of excavation of substantial portions of the upland areas to achieve final grades ; existing buildings, site and utility demolitions; installations of new electric, storm wastewater, and potable water utilities s, and comprehensive site grading and paving.
Northeast Bulkhead Work: consisting of the demolition of pier platform and in-water dolphins, dredging and seabed preparation, as well as new installations of bulkhead, pile supported platform, and utility services.
State Pier and Central Vermont Railroad (CVRR Pier Work: consists of partial demolition of existing pier structures, installations of new pier structures, bulkheads, pile supported platform surfaces, dredging of sediments in the Thames River including a new turning basin, seabed preparation, fill at the central wharf and final utility services and pier accessories necessary to complete the Project.
Remediation: a number of designated areas of the Site (i.e. Areas of Concern or AOCs) that have documented environmental impacts associated with historical site operations.

The Bidder will be required to quote in compliance with all project plans and specifications. Non-Disclosure Agreements are provided when applicable. Addenda is posted and noticication is sent to all invited bidders.

Insurance Requirements
Upon award, Subcontractors must provide insurance in accordance with our subcontract agreement. A copy of the subcontractor agreement can be found in SmartBidNet Project Plan Room.

Bonding Requirements
For subcontracts the Bidder shall furnish Performance and Payment Bonds equal to the full subcontract price. For Material Contracts, the bidder shall furnish Supply Bonds in amount equal to full Material Contract price. Bond premiums are reimbursable by Kiewit/Mass. Electric Construction Co.
Please provide current bond rate with Quote/Proposal or advise if you are unable to bond so that we my address this issue.
