Schiavone-Lane VWE 2 JV: The joint venture consists of Schiavone Construction Co. LLC (Schiavone) and Lane Construction Corporation (Lane). As part of our commitment to providing the best value to NYSDOT, we have selected designers Stantec Consulting Services, Inc., Mueser Rutledge Consulting Engineers, PLLC, Construction Inspection LiRo Engineers, Inc, and Material Testing Firm Hudson Valley Engineering Associates, PC dba HVEA Engineers. Through working together on large projects of similar scope to this project, our firms share an established commitment to excellence and embrace project goals as our own in our delivery approach to ensure success and mitigate impacts to motorists, surrounding communities and the environment. Our team is looking to provide meaningful opportunities for NYS MWBE and SDVOB Participation.

The Project involves Design-Build services for the Van Wyck Expressway (VWE) Capacity and Access Improvements to JFK Airport - Contract 2 (the "Project").

The Project is located in the city of New York, Queens County, New York.

Substantial Completion anticipated no later than 04/30/2024.

The work envisioned for this project will include the replacement of one (1) Long Island Rail Road Railway Bridge, and rehabilitation and retrofit of two (2) additional Long Island Rail Road railway bridges, and replacement of one (1) vehicular bridge over the VWE.

• BIN 7066687 (carries LIRR Atlantic Tracks #1 thru #4, receiving yard lead track and Westbound Montauk) and BIN 7066688 (carries LIRR Mainline Tracks #2 & #4 and Montauk Track 1 (A/K/A 10 WEST) and Atlantic Track 5) Rehabilitation/Retrofit (Double Deck Bridges)
• BIN 7076800 Replacement (carries LIRR Mainline Tracks #1 & #3)
• BIN 1055699 Replacement (94th Ave and Atlantic Avenue over the VWE)
• Reconstruction of Northbound and Southbound Service Roads (including retaining wall and utility work) from Atlantic Avenue Bridge North to Archer Avenue
• The project also includes utility replacement and relocation in the vicinity of the project site.

The Project scope of work will include but is not limited to the following:

*All NYS MWBE & NYS SDVOB certificates must be current at bid time and remain current for the duration of the project

Plans, Specifications, Addendum, and Boiler Plate Templates of our Subcontract/Purchase Order ("Agreement") are available on SmartBidNet.com, your firm will be required to execute IF AWARDED the contract. You must base your bid upon the contractual terms and conditions as they are reflected in the Agreement, without amendment. The upstream contractual environment on the Project is demanding and we will not entertain revision to the contractual boilerplate, which should instead be reflected in your bid price.
