Project Details
The Work is to perform demolition and disposal of marine debris; dredging and ocean disposal of approximately 80% of the site dredge materials; dredging, rehandling and landfill disposal of approximately 20% of the site dredge materials; and import and placement of a Sand Cap on a portion of the Site. R.E. Staite Engineering, Inc. is requesting subquotes from all qualified SF LBE subcontractors and suppliers (Micro & Small), for the following items:
Subcontractors - Material Rehandling at Pier 94/96 (33,600 CY); Towing (Tugboat/SF-DODS or Upland to Montezuma Wetlands); Trucking Off-haul 33,600 CY conditioned non-hazardous soils to a Class II or III landfill and off-haul of treated wood waste. Our preference is to have a per load price or a per ton price rather than an hourly rate. All trucks transporting sediment will need to be provided with water tight tailgates and plastic sheeting; Temporary Fencing (Approx. 700 LF); Testing Lab (Materials testing of dredge materials and hazardous materials testing of the marine debris); In-situ Sediment Sampling with Vibracore - Analytical Report - Profile for Landfill Acceptance; Hydrographic Survey for Dredging and Sand Capping and Scow monitoring ; Asphalt/Paving - Approx. 25,000 SF of Temporary 2" Asphalt Overlay on Exist Concrete pier deck ; Grinding / Removal / Disposal of Temporary 2" Asphalt Overlay; Typical Caltrans Deck Seal Approx 25,000 SF; Consultant to prepare Sediment Processing and Construction Water Management Plan (SPCWMP)

This is a Public Works Project and all requirements must be met(i.e. DIR registration/certified payroll, etc). All Subcontractors will be subject to the City's Local Hiring Policy requirements. Insurance must match the Specifications and RES will also require a waiver of subrogation. Bonds may be required. Minimum wage rates for this project must comply with the current requirements for payment of General Prevailing Wages as determined by the State Department of Industrial Relations. Minimum wage rates other than applicable General Prevailing Wages must comply with San Francisco Administrative Code, Chapter 12P, Minimum Compensation Ordinance. All Subcontractors must maintain a current business tax registration number.

Referrals for assistance with bonding and insurance or assistance with obtaining necessary equipment, supplies, materials or related assistance or services can be arranged for LBE's upon request. Note that the City has a surety bond program, which assists LBE contractors in obtaining bonding and financing is available for contracts awarded by the San Francisco Port Commission.
