The Parkway Drive and Alvarado Road Trunk Sewer Phase 3 Upgrade Project involves the replacement of approximately 5,274 feet of existing sewer pipelines within the city of La Mesa with trenchless or open trench installation. The improvements would consist of open-cut trenching and trenchless methods to rehabilitate or replace existing pipeline located approximately 10-15 feet below grade, in addition to the installation of approximately 251 feet of new pipe using trenchless techniques. Where appropriate conditions exist and access is limited, existing segments of pipeline may be rehabilitated (relined) rather than replaced. The portion of the project that crosses under Department of Transportation (Caltrnas) right-of-way at Interstate 8 will be constructed using trenchless techniques.

Subcontracting and material/supply opportunities include, but not limited to the following categories of work: traffic control subcontractors; surveying subcontractors; grouting subcontractors; saw cutting subcontractors; dewatering subcontractors; erosion control subcontractors; asphalt paving subcontractors; aggregate suppliers; curbs, gutters and sidewalk subcontractors; pavement marking/striping subcontractors; irrigation subcontractors; landscaping subcontractors; CCTV (for sewer) subcontractors; CIPP subcontractors; auger boring/utility pipe jacking subcontractors; welding subcontractors; trucking (dump trucks) subcontractors; shoring subcontractors.

We are also available to provide assistance in obtaining bonding, lines of credit and/or insurance to M/W/S/DBE, SBRA, LSAF, HUB subcontractors. Please complete all negotiations 24-hours prior to bid opening. We also encourage the utilization of apprentices for this project.
