The work generally consists of the construction of the following:
(i) Construction of improvements and rehabilitation to the Filter Washwater Tank improvements including the installation and maintenance of the temporary backwash system, including but not limited to: the replacement of the existing ring-wall foundation with a grade beam and micro-piles, replacement of anchors and chairs, installation of vertical stiffeners, piping modifications, safety improvements, roof vent replacement, removal of exterior lead based coating and interior coal-tar coating, and re-coating of the exterior and interior.
(ii) Construction of improvements to the concrete Clearwell improvements including the construction of the concrete curb around the Clearwell, relocation of the existing fiber optics line, demolition of the existing building, and removal of approximately one foot of soil from the entirety of the Clearwell roof.

Subcontracting and supplier opportunities are available but not limited to the following scopes of work: scheduling subcontractor; surveying subcontractor; demolition subcontractor; hazardous waste removal subcontractor; rebar subcontractor; concrete cutting subcontractor; coating/painting subcontractor; electrical subcontractor; cathodic protection subcontractor; erosion control subcontractor; asphalt paving subcontractor; instrumentation & controls subcontractor; trucking (dump trucks) subcontractor; dechlorination/chlorination subcontractor; shoring subcontractor.

We are also available to provide assistance in obtaining bonding, lines of credit and/or insurance to M/W/SBE subcontractors. Please complete all negotiations 24-hours prior to bid opening. We also encourage the utilization of apprentices for this project.
