Granite Construction Northeast, Inc. (Granite or GCN) is planning to submit a Proposal for the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) Contract D264169 for the Bridge Rehabilitation of Wurts St. over Rondout Creek in the City of Kingston & Town of Esopos ('Wurts St. Bridge Rehabilitation').

The Project is for the rehabilitation of the Wurts Street Bridge over Rondout Creek. Work includes, but is not limited to: demolition, earthwork, rock anchors, asphalt paving, retaining wall, new concrete bridge deck, structural steel (repairs/replacement), railing, flatwork, lead abatement, environmental protection, concrete, reinforcing steel, waterproofing, electrical, signage, drainage, fencing, guiderail, pavement markings, and other miscellaneous construction.

Bid Date: April 29, 2020

Quotes Due: Friday, April 24, 2020

DBE Goal: 8% (NYS Certification)

Anticipated Notice to Proceed (NTP): May 4, 2020
Substantial Completion: December 1, 2021
Project Completion: June 1, 2022

The Wurst St. Bridge Rehabilitation project has DBE participation opportunities, and Granite, is seeking qualified State of New York certified DBE's to provide Subcontract/Supplier/Service Opportunities for categories that potentially include, but are not necessarily limited to: Aggregates/Fill; Asbestos Abatement; Asphalt Paving; Bearings/Expansion Joints; Bridge Railing; Concrete; Concrete Barrier (including slipform); Concrete Repair; Contaminated/Hazardous Material Testing/Monitoring; Demolition; Doors & Frames (metal); Drainage; Earthwork; Electrical; Erosion/Sedimentation Control; Flatwork; Fuel Supply; Geotextiles; Jacking; Janitorial Services; Lead Abatement; Maintenance & Protection of Traffic (MPT); Medical Testing; Milling; Miscellaneous Metals; Painting (Structural Steel); Painting/Coating; Pavement Markings; Reinforcing Steel; Roadway Lighting; Sawcut Grooving; Sawing & Sealing; Scheduling (CPM); Scuppers; Signage; Surveying; Traffic Signals; Trucking; Waterproofing
