Granite Construction Northeast, Inc. (Granite or GCN) is planning to submit a Proposal for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Project No. 69181 for the Construction of State Route 0084 Section 282 in Lackawanna County and State Route 0380 Section SGN and State Route 0435 ('I-84 Bridges').

General Project Summary:
1. Demolition & Replacement of 3 Existing Bridges
2. Rehabilitation of Existing Railroad Bridge (convert to pedestrian bridge)
3. Construct 6 Retaining Walls
4. Rebuild approximately 2.75 miles of approach roadway

The Project includes: the replacement of the I-84 Bridges over the Pennsylvania Northeast Regional Railroad Authority/Delaware & Lackawanna (PNRRA/D&L) Railroad and Roaring Brook, and the reconfiguration of the interchange with SR 0435 (Exit 2). Work also includes excavation, geotextile, full depth bituminous pavement, overhead sign structures, drainage, guiderail, fencing, concrete barrier, temporary concrete barrier, landscaping, erosion and sediment control measures, pavement markers, temporary traffic control, signing, traffic signals, concrete bridge work, bridge removal, structural steel, paining existing steel, steel pile foundations, concrete retaining walls, jacking bridge superstructure, temporary excavation and support, and other miscellaneous construction. The Work is contained within an overall project length of approximately 2.742 miles (14,475 LF).

DBE Goal: 7% (PA Certification)

Project Completion: April 24, 2026
