Specific work for this Project includes but is not limited to the following: selective demo, site work, foundations, retaining walls, structural steel bridge girders, structural steel windscreen & canopy framing, precast concrete plank, precast concrete barrier, precast concrete noise wall, translucent canopies & windscreens, metal roofing, aluminum entrances & storefront, masonry and brick veneer, aluminum guardrails & handrails, fencing, tactile warning striping, rubbing board, waterproofing, carpentry, wood & metal ceilings, painting & coatings, doors, signage, enhanced station initiative (ESI) amenities, specialty artwork installation, site utilities, sidewalks, decorative unit paving, fire suppression, plumbing, HVAC, snowmelt, electrical, communications, AV, and CCTV systems, vegetated barrier systems, and other trades associated with this type of work.

This Project involves of the design and construction of a new LIRR train station located in Elmont, Queens, as part of the Belmont Park Redevelopment, and will consist of new 12-car capacity north and south side platforms (a portion of which will span across the Cross Island Parkway) with an integrated snowmelt system, and a 2-story pedestrian overpass structure, as well as associated station elements including but not limited to platform canopies, lighting, stairs/ramps, CCTV, security, network, information technology, equipment and rooms, audio/visual display boards, signage, speakers, and elevators with associated machine rooms.

This project is a State Funded Project and has M/WBE and SDVOB Goals assigned to it. Halmar encourages and promotes the maximum M/W/DBE and SDVOB Participation possible on this and all of its projects.
