BRCO Constructors Inc. is requesting the bids from Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) subcontractors for the Grass Valley Charter School Modernization 2019.

The Work:
Classroom modernization work will include roof replacement, upgrade to existing telecommunications and technology systems, replacement of classroom flooring, tack board and finishes, and window replacement. Site modernization work will include play structure replacement, and underground utility repair and/or replacement, necessary ADA upgrades, and portions of non-classroom space modernization.

Labor Compliance/Skilled and Trained Workforce:
This project's contract delivery method (LEASE-LEASEBACK) requires a certain percentage of the workforce must be graduates from a state approved apprenticeship program.

Local Business Outreach and Participation:
The District is vitally interested in promoting the growth of small and local businesses within the boundaries of the District, the City of Grass Valley, as well as greater Nevada County by means of increasing the participation of these businesses in the District's purchase of goods and services. The District has a goal of ten (10) percent of all contracts for these services be awarded to local businesses. A locally-owned business, for purposes of satisfying the locality requirements of this provision, is one which holds a valid business license issued by a local or regional governmental agency.
